HORN GARDENS is a local Climate Smart Agent dedicated to enhancing food security, mitigating climate change, and promoting sustainable agricultural transformation. By collaborating with local farmers and the Ministry of Agriculture, we facilitate the transition to profitable and environmentally conscious agricultural production systems. Our focus is on preserving natural resources, vital ecosystem services, and implementing climate-resilient techniques to build a sustainable and resilient agricultural sector.

As a prominent local model integrated farm, we specialize in a diverse range of agricultural activities, including dairy production, commercial field cultivation, and greenhouse farming. Our offerings extend beyond farming itself, as we also serve as a comprehensive resource for farmers, providing a one-stop shop for their needs, offering training programs, maintaining a demonstration farm, and operating a robust out grower system.

One of our significant roles is being the exclusive authorized supplier of Amiran Kenya’s state-of-the-art greenhouse and drip irrigation kits to small-scale and commercial farmers in Somaliland, Puntland, and other accessible regions in Somalia. With our extensive experience in profitable agribusiness interventions, we possess the expertise to cater to the requirements of both individual farmers and farmer groups throughout the year.

At present, our operations are based on a spacious 55-acre farm located in Carro Yambo, just 30 kilometers west of Hargeisa city. This site serves as a testament to our commitment to innovation, as we have successfully introduced modern greenhouse structures and open field drip irrigation systems.

Within our farm, we cultivate a diverse range of vegetables, including spinach, kale, cabbages, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, capsicum, pineapples, and various fruits. To optimize productivity and efficiency, we have allocated 6 acres of land to the implementation of advanced drip irrigation technology. Moreover, we have constructed 8 greenhouses dedicated to growing high-quality, high-value crops.
